We are rapidly approaching the 4th Annual Parkersburg Paddlefest. This great weekend in Greater Parkersburg CVB will start with a Friday Free Glowpaddle up the Little Kanawha River at 8pm that will start at Point Park. We encourage all particpants to decorate their kayak as bright as possible for the night paddle. Overnight boat staging will be available to all main event participants on Friday September 15th at 8pm and we will provide overnight security. Then Saturday September 16th we prepare for the main event with the Ohio River being closed to commercial traffic (8am-2pm) for Paddlefest Participants and we will paddle from Point Park to the West Virginia side of Blennerhassett Island and land at the second ramp. You will then have time to visit the island before your return paddle to The Point Park. Finally on Sunday the 18th, Paddlers will have the opportunity to attend North Bend State Park for a second free paddle on North Bend State Park Lake. The free paddle will start at 10am and put in will be at the Cokeley Run Boat Ramp.
We look forward to seeing you on the water for the third year of this wonderful experience.
