Enteries are being sought from local businesses, groups and individuals for the 4th Annual Gingerbread House Contest at the Nashua Senior Activity Center, which will take place on Saturday Dec. 2 from 8am-11am. Houses will be judges in the following categories: Best in Show, Most Elegant, Most Festive, Most Scrumptious,Best Fire Station Entry, Best Entry by a Child, and People's Choice. A panel of local judges including George Russell, Host of "Nashua this Morning" on WSMN 1590, Matt Burdette, Editor in Chief, Nashua Telegraph; June Caron, Alderman, City of Nashua; and Cathy Fariz, NSAC Friend will award the prizes. Home Instead Senior Care of Southern NH is sponsoring the Gingerbread House Contest for the 4th year. Please contact Judy Porter at 816-2649 or firstname.lastname@example.org to enter. Free entry and admission to contest but there is a charge if you are dining at the Breakfast with Santa.
The Center is located in the heart of downtown Nashua at 70 Temple St. Other events at the Center that day include a "Breakfast with Santa" from 8am-11am, which is sponsored by the Nashua Lions Club and a Festive Holiday Cookie Walk from 8am-11am.
Proceeds form all of the events benefit the 100% self supporting Nashua Senior Activity Center whose mission is "to promote healthy aging, independence, and the well-being of older adults through health, wellness, educational, culural, and recreational programs and services."
