Anytime Fitness Downtown St Pete is excited to work for a third year with Boyd Hill Nature Preserve for our Annual Trail Run 5k. Our event is a fun-run and all ages and all fitness levels are welcome. All profits are donated to Boyd Hill Nature Preserve and their nature education programs.
We will time the runners but we suggest using your own app for time as well. All runners will recieve a moisture wicking long sleeved race shirt custom designed and locally printed! Please specify sizes when purchasing your tickets. Beverages will be provided at the event but bring any additional snacks or items you might like for after the run. Parking can be found in the main parking lot by the visitor center. No need to go thru the center, we will have large gates open for entry. Bathrooms and drinking fountains are accessable prior to and during the event.
Boyd Hill Park originally began its life as a zoo and botanical garden for the city of St. Petersburg. It has since evolved over the decades into a mosaic of natural habitats and wild tropical landscapes along the shores of Lake Maggiore. From the outer 5k marked Main Trail, there are five side trails (mostly loops) showcasing specific habitats: the Swamp Woodlands Trail, Willow Marsh Trail, Lake Maggiore Trail, Scrub Island Trail, and Pine Flatwoods Trail. Enjoy the immersion into each habitat on the side trails, and the amusing giant armadillos along Wax Myrtle Pond. Come enjoy this beautiful area with us on December 2nd!
Check in from 7:15am to 7:45am
