These are Beta Workouts. They WILL change before the competition commences.

EVENT 1- 3:20: 2Os 3:20 min, max reps

Rx- Athlete 1 does a max set of repetitions of Hang Power Clean at 155/105. The set will end when the Athlete either drops the bar or remains motionless for more than three seconds (just enough time to regrip at the top or hang). Once the set is terminated Athlete 1 will run back to their partner, tag, and Athlete 2 performs 10 lateral bar over burpees, switching directions each burpee, and then run back to tag their partner. Athlete 1 will then attempt another max set until the drop, where Athlete 2 will then perform 10 more burpees. This will occur for 3:20, then there will be a 20 seconds grace period to switch, then Athlete 2 will perform the max sets while Athlete 1 does the lateral burpees. ONLY the Hang Power Cleans are counted as reps.

Scale- Athlete 1 does a max set of repetitions of Hang Power Clean at 95/65. The set will end when the Athlete either drops the bar or remains motionless for more than three seconds (just enough time to regrip at the top or hang). Once the set is terminated Athlete 1 will run back to their partner, tag, and Athlete 2 performs 6 lateral bar over burpees, switching directions each burpee, and then run back to tag their partner. Athlete 1 will then attempt another max set until the drop, where Athlete 2 will then perform 6 more burpees. This will occur for 3:20, then there will be a 20 seconds grace period to switch, then Athlete 2 will perform the max sets while Athlete 1 does the lateral burpees. ONLY the Hang Power Cleans are counted as reps.

EVENT 2- 10 min, max reps

Rx- Athlete 1 lunges 20 with one kb overhead (53/35). Upon reaching the rig they perform 20 DL@225/155, 20 wb@30/20, 20 ttb. They then lunge back 20 with one kb overhead. Upon arriving back, the Athletes switch, with Athlete 2 beginning the lunge. The Athlete not performing the skill portion of the workout will be rowing for cals, which the total of the entire 10mins will be added to the reps.

Scale- Athlete 1 lunges 20 with one kb held in goblet (44/26). Upon reaching the rig they perform 10 DL@135/85, 10 wb@20/14, 10 toes to rings. They then lunge back 20 with one kb. Upon arriving back, the Athletes switch, with Athlete 2 beginning the lunge. The Athlete not performing the skill portion of the workout will be rowing for cals, which the total of the entire 10mins will be added to the reps.

EVENT 3- 3 mins: 30s: 3 mins

Rx- For 3 minutes Athlete 1 performs 6 box overs then does 1 bar mu, then 6 box overs, the 2 bar mu (dropping off bar each rep), then 6 BO, 3/6, 4/6, etc. At the end of 3 minutes, there will be a 30 second break. At the end of the break Athlete 2 will pick EXACTLY where Athlete 1 left off, continuing the pattern.

Scale- For 3 minutes Athlete 1 performs 6 box overs then does 1 pullups (no butterfly and 3 to 1 ring row sub), then 3 box overs, the 2 pullups (dropping off bar each rep), then 6 BO, 3/6, 4/6, etc. At the end of 3 minutes, there will be a 30 second break. At the end of the break Athlete 2 will pick EXACTLY where Athlete 1 left off, continuing the pattern.

Event 4- 6:30m

Directly following the 30 second break after Athlete 2 performs Event 3. Both athletes will then have 6 minutes and 30 second to attempt this complex THREE times. If Athlete fail to complete the complex any of the 3 times, their score will be ZERO pounds. Score is total of highest complex by each Athlete. A failure will be considered when the barbell is dropped to the ground. A missed movement during the complex can be reattempted to long as the bar was not dropped.

Rx- Snatch (any), two (2) hang snatches (any)

Scale- Three (3) Snatch Grip Deadlifts, two (2) Hang Power Snatches

The event will stop selling tickets on Feb 4th to form heats. There may be a waitlist but do not bank on it. If you are no signed up before Feb 4th, do not be surprised if you cannot get in.

NEPA CrossFit reserves the right to adjust the weights/movements prescribed prior to competition.

NEPA CrossFit reserves the right to adjust any prize money/swag prior to Feb 4th based on ticket sales.

NEPA CrossFit reserves the right to stop any athlete we deem unsafe.

NEPA CrossFit reserves the right to change pretty much anything for any reason and do pretty much anything, or as our lawyer called this, our "catch all" clause.
