The Michigan State Youth Soccer Association is pleased to announce that an Administrators Workshop has been scheduled for Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Detroit Marriott (Livonia). The MSYSA Administrators Workshop is FREE for all MSYSA members and is designed to provide relevant information to members in either an instructional or roundtable environment. The MSYSA Administrators workshop will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2019 and hosted at the Detroit Marriott (Livonia) (1710 Laurel Park Drive North, Livonia, Michigan 48152). This year, the MSYSA Administrators Workshop will be presented in a lecture hall format. This format will allow each attendee to receive the information from all feature presenters during the Workshop rather than having multiple break-outs throughout the day. Additionally, MSYSA has secured highly qualified professionals in their related fields to attend and present on various topics including: Cole Newton and Duran, Pullen Insurance, Sports Forms, Dicks Sporting Goods and more! Finally, MSYSA will be streaming live each of the presentations via the MSYSA Facebook page so that education can be made available following the workshop.

This session will provide an overview of the MSYSA Athlete and Participant Safety Program and its various policies and how they may impact our clubs and leagues. We will also discuss how to take the SafeSport training.
SPECIAL PRESENTER! SafeSport Representative: The Center for SafeSport
A representative from the Center for SafeSport will discuss the SafeSport Act and how it pertains to athlete safety. Additionally, this presentation will provide a means for attendees to ask questions and receive answers directly from The Center for SafeSport.
SPECIAL PRESENTER! Duane Johnson, MSYSA Legal Counsel: Managing Crisis & Litigation
MSYSAs Legal Counsel, Duane Johnson, has a wealth of knowledge in the judicial system throughout his career and can offer great insight on how to manage crisis as well as litigation, threats of litigation and more within your club or league.

This session will provide you with the most up-to-date changes recently launched by US Soccer relating to the coaching education pathway that includes in-person modules as well as online materials that are now readily available. Additionally, this session will review the various prerequisites to each license level and how the curriculum is relevant to the soccer environment today.
MSYSA Board of Directors! Growing Your Recreational Organization
This session will provide attendees with an opportunity to gain ideas and knowledge about how to increase a recreational soccer organization as well as understand other concepts that may be worth exploring as other clubs will have the ability to discuss what has worked for their organizations in the past as well.
MSYSA Board of Directors! Recreational Roundtable
In this session, discussion topics will be offered to create an environment where those in attendance can solicit input and feedback for their recreational programs from other recreational program offerings throughout Michigan to better support the growth in their communities.
