Join the Mill Creek Watershed Council of Communities as we kick off our 2018 Mill Creek Volunteer Water Quality Monitoring Program. Our citizen scientists are the eyes and ears of the Mill Creek, and you can be, too!
We sample on the second Saturday of each month. In 2018, we will be sampling March through November.
This training is for new and returning volunteers interested in field sampling. New lab volunteers are welcome to attend as well for the program overview portion of the morning, although lab orientation will take place in the morning before our first day of analysis on Saturday, March 10th.
We will begin with a program overview and discussion of sampling procedures at the Mill Creek Watershed Council of Communities office in Reading. Later, we will head over to the Mill Creek for hands-on training in obtaining samples in the field. Please dress in weather- and temperature-appropriate clothing.
