The Center for the Study of Citizenship is hosting the third annual Civic Festival and Constitution Day on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Gullen Mall at Wayne State University. The festival celebrates the signing of the US Constitution in 1787.

The theme this year is civic engagementin recognition of the 150th anniversary of the founding of Wayne State University. Through music, DJ Peter Croce uses sound to explore what it means to be a human being and a citizen in the 21st Century. The Henry Ford will bring artifacts and its curators will be there to answer questions and to discuss the significance of the artifacts. The Detroit Historical Museum will be exhibiting at the festival an artifact from its 1967 exhibition, and students will have opportunities to learn about campus civic engagement.

Please see http://clas.wayne.edu/citizenship for more information about the Center.

We invite organizations to have tables at this event. If you are interested, please contact Aime Moran at citizenship@wayne.edu to discuss details. There is a charge to all groups to cover our costs for the table and two chairs.

Were very excited to see you at this event, and hope you will be interested in participating!
