Meet staff and hear about campus resources at the University of Washington Tacoma's Family Orientation! This event offers an opportunity foryouto connect withother parents, guardians, and supporters of UW Tacoma students.
Spending this time with us provides family members with a great opportunity to ask questions and truly understand the University of Washington Tacoma and their students college transition. We encourage all to be present for the planned presentations and orientation events. Family members will receive a detailed schedule prior to arrival. A light breakfast will be provided.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There are a variety of great options to get to the campus, including public transportation and parking options. You can learn more about transportation options here.

Should my student come to the Family Orientation with me?
No, this event is intended only for family members. We've tailored the experience to complement the information your student will receive when they attend their own orientation the following week.
Can I update my registration information?
Please see the information on the EventBrite help page here to update your registration information.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, we will have your reservation records when you check in at the event.
What is the refund policy?
You are able to receive a full refund if you notify Student Transition Programs in writing at firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday, 9/7 at 11:59 p.m.. No refunds will be given for cancellations after that time, and no refunds will be given for no-shows. This helps us make sure we can cover food and supplies without using student fees!
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
That's fine! As long as there is one ticket per participant, you are free to switch out tickets if there is a last-minute change.
