5 peaks for the price of 1! This is a fantastic, strenuous, epic loop trail showcasing the beauty, ruggedness and majesty of the Wasatch Range. This will be one of those days in your life that you will never forget.

THIS IS FOR ADVANCED HIKERS ONLY! We're talking 11.6 miles of distance and a combined vertical of almost 7500 feet! Please make sure you are fit enough to tackle this monster route. It'll be pretty much the whole day. Bring PLENTY of water and food, great scrambling boots/shoes, and get lots of sleep the night before.

Meeting point for the hike is Mill B South Fork Trailhead (up Big Cottonwood Canyon, at the bottom of the S-curve). Meeting time is 7 AM. We'll be on our way by 7:15.

The journey begins as we take the trail up Broads Fork to the top of the drainage. Then it's up, up, up to the east summit of Broads Fork Twin Peaks - our high point at 11,330 feet. From there we scramble along the the ridge east, climbing and descending Sunrise and Dromedary Peaks. Then it's more ridgeline balancing as we continue along over a couple of unnamed peaks, on to Monte Cristo, and finally to the summit of Mount Superior (that's 5 named peaks over 11,000 feet, thank you very much).

From there we'll scramble north to Cardiac Pass. Then we dip west and make our way down to beautiful Lake Blanche, following the well-worn trail from there back to Mill B South, finishing right where we started.

After soaking our tired and blistered feet in the river, we'll head back to civilization, smelling like sweat and success. I'm open to suggestions for a post hike dinner venue...

Carpool if you can. The parking is always pretty crazy on the weekends.
