The fifteenth annual Fall FlingA Gardening Festival is presented by the Polk County Master Gardeners. There will be three outstanding presenters, workshops, a catered lunch, door prizes, vendors to browse, a silent auction and more.

Three presenters, catered lunch, access to vendors, door prizes and a silent auction all for only $30 pre-registration price ($40 at the door). Cash or check only at the door.

Registration starts at 8:15 am. Presentations start at 9 am.

New Plants to Make You Swoon
Karen Chapman $15*
Discover new varieties of trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals. Get the local "low down" on how they really perform and be inspired by artistic combination ideas. Get advice from an international design consultant.

Make Your Own Herbal Wreath
Bethany Hagen $25 (20 attendees only)
Create your own beautiful and timeless wreath to take home and e njoy for years to come. You'll start with a grapevine base and add everlasting flowers, seed pods and more.

Mason Bees in Your Garden
Andony Melathopoulos $10*
Learn how to get started with mason bees and how to multiply and harvest cocoons in order to keep costs down. The options for equipment, where to purchase cocoons and how to ensure success will be covered.

Turf Renovation
Alec Kowalewski $10*
Highlighted will be fall and spring turf renovation techniques, thatch removal and soil preparation, fertilizer, seed and mulch selection and application. Participants will take home a hand seeder/fertilizer spreader and a sample fertilizer and seed mixture.

*Limited to 25 attendees and runfrom 3pm to 4pm

The Vendor Faire is open to all. Browse plants, books, garden art, gifts and tools. Bring your tools and knives to get them sharpened by Edgemaster while you attend the Fling.
