Strengthening Families GA Overview: An Effective Approach to Supporting Families and Communities (Suggested for QR Programs)

Learn to apply the five protective factors in your everyday work. Explore Strengthening Families Georgia efforts to embed the factors into family serving agencies.

Story Stations

Workshop to help classroom teachers understand literacy development and plan activities in all learning areas of the classroom based on one story or literary work.

Music for Minds and Muscles

Why should children experience music? Lets discuss together why music is important to the development and growth of our children today. Together we will be able to incorporate engaging musical activities into our curriculum that is goal oriented.


Second Session Choices: 11:00am-1:00pm

Strengthening Families Through Knowledge of Child Development (Suggested for QR Programs)

This Strengthening Families workshop for parents and professionals will explore ways help parents build their parenting skills and better understand children and their behavior.

Positive Behavior Supports: Instilling Behaviors of Self-Control

This course offers best practices that will guide positive guidance techniques to instill self- control in children and early childhood practitioners. Teachers can model proper positive discipline techniques in the classroom, while sharing strategies with parents to use at home as well, including dual language learner's families.

STEM in the Classroom

This beginner training introduces the concept of STEM and how any provider, center or family, can offer intentional learning through STEM.


Third Session Choices: 2:00pm-4:00pm

Three Ps of Professionalism

Due to the reaching effects of ECE staff behavior and the importance of upholding our field as a true profession, this course was written to help early care and education staff realize they can rise to be professionals and continue to effect children and families in a positive manner when they act professionally.

Managing Transitions: Moving Along Peacefully

This two hour course will assist learners in understanding the importance of planning transitions in early childhood settings, which includes morning greetings while also presenting strategies to assist all children in moving between activities by putting the learner in the childs position.

STEM in the Classroom

This beginner training introduces the concept of STEM and how any provider, center or family, can offer intentional learning through STEM.




**PLEASE NOTE THIS TRAINING WILL COST $30 IF YOU ARE NOT A PROGRAM ON OUR CURRENT CCR&R TA CASELOAD OR PARTICIPATING IN OUR CQI OR PLC MEETINGS. CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS ONLY WILL BE COLLECTED ON-SITE AT THE TRAINING.

Please note child care is not available for this training and children are not allowed to be unaccompanied in the building without a parent or guardian.


Administrators: If you would ilke to have your staff attend training for $0, R&R staff will be available at training to assist you in submitting an application for Quality Rated.

*All workshops are approved by Bright from the Start, Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning as part of the annual training requirements for child care providers.
