Who is ready for an adventure?? Yep, we are hiking not one 14er, but two 14ers in one day! First-- 14ers are NOT for everyone! I want to be very clear about this. Even for people in great shape, altitude sickness is a very real consideration. I am asking you all to be very honest with yourself about whether your health, fitness, and motivation are prepared at this time for a 14,000 foot elevation mountain climb. The pace of our group will be rapid and consistent enough to make it to the top of the peaks before the storms come in, and we will not be taking really long breaks on the climb up. Please choose to join us at your own risk and read the links listed below to make sure you are fully prepared.
That being said, 14ers are fantastic. It's an incredible experience to see the mountains, landscape, flora, and fauna at such a high elevation. I adore being at high elevation at least once a summer, and I'm sure many of you feel the same. In terms of spirituality, I feel a beautiful connection in the high ranges that is hard to put into words. It feels very cosmic, increasing intuition and expansiveness. It's a delight to visually see and viscerally experience that we are a part of the beauty of Gaia.

Here is information about climbing 14ers in general:
You MUST read the websites above in advance if you want to join us on this hike. I'll be checking at our departure site from Boulder to make sure everyone has plenty of water and supplies. If you do not have enough, you will not be able to join us. Thanks for understanding my additional caution with organizing this outing. I want to make sure everyone who attends has a fabulous time and feels as good as possible. :)
Meeting Place: Please arrive at the parking lot of Goodwill at least 5-10 minutes early, as we'll be leaving at 5:05 am. The drive to the trailhead is 1-2 hours long. We need to stick to this early departure time so that we can be on the trail early, summit the peak, and be back down before afternoon storms.
Carpooling: Yes, we'll carpool! We'll figure out drivers once we know who is joining us. All participants should plan to pitch in gas money to whoever is driving.
Return time: We'll be back in Boulder in late afternoon, but our exact time will depend greatly upon how long we take to do the hike. I'm sure you'll be tired after anyway, so it's probably best to not make firm plans for after the hike.
I'm super excited to do these 14ers with the group. Thanks to Brad Smith for helping me plan!Feel free to message myself or Brad Smith directly with any further questions. How to find us:Look for a small group of people and cars in the lot.
