6:00am | Runner check-in opens; coffee + bagels available
7:00am | 12-Hour Relay begins. One runner from each team may begin at any time

The Festival portion of the 12-Hour Relay begins in earnest at 3:00pm, with live music and local vendors. Joining Sierra Nevada and REI will be Clean Juice, Yoga On Davidson and more!
We're hosting a one-mile Color Fun Run at 4:00pm, so encourage all the kids in your life to come join us. It's $10, and includes a Team Summit Foundation kids shirt to wear during the run!
For live music, we'll have Emerson Carter from 3:00-4:30; Paul Atkinson from 4:30-6:00; and Sunday Union from 6:00-8:00.
The Festival is open and free for all family and friends.
Come solo or as part of a team to the 1st Summit Solstice 12-Hour Relay. On Saturday, June 17, from 7:00am-7:00pm, you and/or your team take turns running for 12 straight hours.
There will also be a one-mile kids' color fun run, which will start at 4:00pm.
Where is it? The event will be based at Summit Coffee's Outpost location, on the Davidson College campus. Runners will have the entire lawn to set up camp, mingle with other runners and our vendors, eat and drink, and more.
How Does It Work? There are three divisions: 1-person, 4-person and 8-person. There are three courses: 3-mile, 5-mile and 9.3-mile. Completing those loops earns you 1, 2 or 5 points, respectively. Each loop starts and ends at the Summit Outpost, and only one person from each team can run at a time. Until 5:00pm that is -- when the rules change ...
Strategy is important!
Is there a set order? No! Teams can send runners out in whatever order they see fit, and can adjust throughout the day.
What do we get? Registration entitles runners to a tank top, plus a bagel + coffee breakfast and snacks throughout the day. The Summit Outpost has a full kitchen that will be open for the race, so hot food can be made to order.
Prizes? There will be prizes for the top 3 teams in each division, plus the team with the best sportsmanship!
Is there a party? Of course! As with all Summit Twilight Racing Series events, there will be live music. This time, we'll go live from noon-10pm, with various artists taking the stage. Sierra Nevada will be pouring, and there will be plenty of other things to keep you entertained.
What's the cause? This race benefits Team Summit Foundation, a local non-profit that helps children from low-income families attend camps and participate in sports and other outdoor activities.
